The entrepreneurial history of the Del Sorbo family began over 40 years ago. Today, the family leads Idal Group S.p.A., a company operating in the design, construction, maintenance, and repair of specialised technological systems. The company specialises in the manufacture and installation of sandwich panels for cold rooms, as well as in the outfitting of catering areas, providing complete, tailor-made solutions for the marine, civil, and industrial sectors.

Thanks to its well-established expertise and continuous investment in innovation, Idal Group has evolved into a smart, advanced, and environmentally sustainable manufacturing company, capable of integrating cutting-edge technologies, efficient production processes, and a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. In April 2016, the first foreign sales subsidiary, Idal Group Canada Inc., was established with the strategic goal of bringing “Made in Italy” to the Canadian shipbuilding market. Tenacity and passion bring the gaze eastward. Thus was born Idal Group East Europe, New Co, with registered office in the heart of Bucharest and carrying out activities at the Vard shipyard in Tulcea. It is in 2017 the expansion project with the new industrial settlement in Salerno, a smart, intelligent and green factory. In 2021, Idal Group completes its transformation into a Joint Stock Company.
